Here is a very good specimen of Cyphaspis tafilaltense from the Devonian of Morocco. The trilobite is very slightly contraflexed and displays wonderful articulation. It is very robust and exhibits fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The long, sweeping genal spines extend all the way to the pygidium. The glabella is very inflated and quite granulose. The stalked eyes and the thoracic spine have been prepared in a free-standing manner. The black trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well centered on the large, somewhat rounded piece of limestone. This is a very handsome trilobite from the Atlas Mountains.
