Here is a very unusual trilobite. This is a large specimen of Chlustinia keyserlingi from the Ordovician of Morocco. This Odontopleurid trilobite exhibits fine detail. The "fringes" along the genal spines are nicely displayed. The small eyes are easily seen. This trilobite has a number of spines emanating from the pygidium, including two very long ones. The bug has excellent, blackish color and contrasts nicely with the multicolored matrix. The fossil is well positioned on the rounded plate. This is the best specimen of Chlustinia that we have seen.
