This is a very nice specimen of an unusual trilobite. It is a large Calymenella sp. from Morocco. The trilobite is over five inches in length, and it is centered in a large, round concretion. The bug is extremely 3-dimensional. Most of the brown shell exoskeleton (skin) is still preserved. The free cheeks of the trilobite are present and tightly attached. This is very unusual. The extremely small eyes of the trilobite are easily seen. One of the defining features of this trilobite, the long, pointed snout, is complete and nicely displayed. This is a very displayable example of this very rare trilobite.
