This is a top quality example of a very obscure trilobite. It is a fantastic Cordania falcata from Coal County, Oklahoma. This specimen was once part of the famous Chance Collection. This fossil was originally found and prepared by Bob Carroll of Black Cat Mountain, and is signed "21" in pencil in his handwriting on the bottom of the rock. This textbook specimen is just spectacular - the butterscotch coloring is simply beautiful and fully natural, and the detail is just incredible. And it is one of the most inflated and best articulated ones we have ever seen. This is one special fossil, probably the best example of Cordania falcata we have ever seen.
