This is a very rare plate of Mississippian trilobites. These are Ameropiltonia lauradanae and Griffithidella welleri from the Mississippian of Missouri. There is a prone Ameropiltonia lauradanae and a Griffithidella welleri cephalon preserved on the plate. The bugs are quite distinct - the brown color of the trilobites contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The trilobites are well showcased on the squared limestone plate. This is a very unusual association of two uncommon trilobites from the Mississippian.
