This is a very displayable specimen of Cheirurus (Crotalocephalina) gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. This awesome specimen was meticulously prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab. This trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits incredible detail. The very small eyes are easily seen, and the short genal spines are clearly defined. The triangular pleurons terminate in sharp points, and the upswept pygidial spines are fully intact and prepared in a free-standing manner. The 3-dimensional bug has fantastic natural color and contrast and displays beautifully on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a very displayable and collectible example of this distinctive Devonian trilobite.
