Here is a very aesthetic plate of trilobites from the Ordovician of Russia. This specimen was aquired from the famous Chance Collection. There are three bugs of two different types on the slab - all three trilobites are extremely well preserved. The trilobite on the top of the plate is a complete example of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) cornutus. This trilobite is very 3-dimensional and wonderfully articulated. The large, tall eyes are very easily seen. Two beautiful Illaenus schmidti trilobites are preserved at the bottom of the slab. These distinct trilobites are extremely inflated and 3-D. All three trilobites have gorgeous, natural coloration that contrasts well with the light-colored matrix. The bugs are beautifully showcased on the large block of limestone. This is an extremely displayable triple specimen of two very different trilobites from the Chance Collection. (Comes with Dr. Chance's original reference photo and ID notes)
