This is a very nice specimen of Pseudoasaphus sp. from the Middle Ordovician of Russia. This specimen was acquired from the famous Chance Collection. The trilobite is complete and extremely inflated and 3-D. The specimen is nicely displayed and very well articulated. The distinct trilobite exhibits very fine detail - the large eyes are well displayed. The fossil has great, caramel-brown color and contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The isopygus trilobite is well showcased on the large limestone slab- it is natural and has not been composited. This is a large, collectible specimen of Psudoasaphus from the Chance Collection. (Comes with Dr. Chance's original reference photo and ID notes.)
