This is an uncommon example of a spiny trilobite. It is Triarthrus spinosus (rougensis?) from Quebec, Canada. This specimen is not the best, but it DOES show ALL THREE textbook axial spines extremely well (hard to see in photo, but they are easily seen under magnification). The bug is well displayed on the natural plate of shale that has a cephalon impression on the back side. This is the perfect specimen for a collector that just wants to own a Triarthrus with three body spines intact.
