This is a fabulous specimen of Pseudolenus ourikaensis from the Cambrian of Morocco. This specimen was prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This inflated trilobite is complete with both free cheeks intact and tightly attached, which is highly unusual. The bug exhibits fine detail - the crescent-shaped eyes are easily seen, and the individual thoracic segments and tail are clearly defined - even the delicate genal spines are fully preserved! The trilobite has gorgeous, natural orange coloration that contrasts beautifully with the greyish-green matrix. The large trilobite is almost perfectly centered on the large, natural matrix block. And the counterpart is present and also included (not pictured). This is a very nice example of this elusive Cambrian trilobite from Morocco.
