Here is a very fine specimen of, perhaps, the most prolific trilobite in the world. This is Elrathia kingi from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. The trilobite is complete and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The bug has great, black color and good contrast with the lighter colored matrix. The trilobite is well positioned on the natural plate of matrix that also contains two other trilobites. This is a very nicely detailed specimen of Elrathia kingi from the Wheeler Formation.
