This is a fantastic Devonian trilobite. It is a huge (almost four and a half inches long!) Zlichovaspis rugosa from the Morocco. This 3-dimensional trilobite is not only large, it is also extremely well preserved. This outstretched bug is wonderfully articulated and exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The sweeping genal spines are prepared free of matrix and aesthetically displayed The long, pointed caudal spine is also free-standing and quite impressive. The large eyes display many of the compound eye facets beautifully. The trilobite has great natural color and is wonderfully showcased on the large, sculpted limestone block. This is a monster of a trilobite that just happens to be top quality.
