This is a breathtaking trilobite. It is a complete Gabriceraurus mifflinensis from the Platteville Formation of Wisconsin. This specimen is enrolled, which allows it to be viewed from all angles. The genal spines and tailspines were added, but a bug like this deserves to be restored to its original splendor. The bug sits on a small piece of original Platteville matrix, or can be lifted off to view it from all 360 degrees. When viewed free of matrix, it looks like a life form from another Universe. This specimen is one of the most displayable trilobites we've had, and it also just happens to be one of the rarest as well. It is one of those special fossils that a lucky collector will cherish for a lifetime.
