This is an excellent specimen of Odontopleura (Sinespinaspis) markhami from the Lower Silurian of Australia. This type of trilobite has several rows of fine pustules on the thoracic segments along with very slender pleural and pygidial spines. These features are beautifully displayed on this trilobite. The detailed bug is wonderfully articulated - both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which makes this an exceptional specimen. The fossil has very good color and contrast and is nicely presented on the natural plate of matrix. This is a top-quality example of this spiny trilobite from ''Down Under''.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
