This is a very nice Gerastos granulosus from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is nicely articulated and exhibits fine detail. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The pustulose nature of the large glabella is quite evident, and the eyes are easily seen. The black color of the bug contrasts wonderfully with the light-grey matrix. The fossil is well presented on the natural block of dense limestone. This is a very good example of an outstretched Gerastos granulosus from the Atlas Mountains.
