This is very collectible Proetid trilobite. It is a large type of Cornuproetus from Morocco. This specimen is HUGE for a Cornuproetus - well over one and a half inches long! But it is not only big, it is fabulous! The detail is excellent, and the thick shell exoskeleton is beautifully preserved and quite colorful. The bug is extremely well-articulated and outstretched, and the genal spines are long and symmetrical. We cannot stress enough how much bigger and fatter this specimen is than most of the others we've seen. This is a great example of this very underrated trilobite.
