Here is a very fine specimen of Gerastos granulosus from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is extremely inflated and wonderfully articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The trilobite is well preserved in an outstretched position and exhibits fine detail. The individual pustules on the large, bulbous glabella are easily seen, and the eyes of the trilobite are quite prominent. The black trilobite contrasts beautifully with the grey matrix. The bug is well presented on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a very nice example of Gerastos granulosus from the Devonian.
