Here is an excellent example of Cornuproetus cornutus from the Devonian of Morocco. This fine specimen was once part of the famous Sam Stubbs Collection. This trilobite is extremely 3-dimensional and tightly articulated. The bug is quite prone and exhibits very fine detail. The long, sweeping genal spines are wonderfully displayed, and the small, close-set eyes are easily seen. The natural black color of the bug contrasts strikingly with the grey matrix. The fossil is beautifully presented on the block of dense limestone. This is a very well-prepared specimen of Cornuproetus from the Stubbs Collection.
