This is an excellent specimen of Lancastria placenta from the Cambrian of China. This type of trilobite has many thoracic segments with long pleural spines. This specimen is wonderfully articulated and exhibits great detail. The flaring genal spines are intact, and the extremely long pleural spines are beautifully displayed. Even the small pygidium is present and tightly attached. The bug has very good natural color and contrast and is nicely showcased on the natural plate of matrix that has a perfect Arthricocephalus counterpart on the back side. This is a very fine example of this spiny trilobite from China.
