This is an excellent specimen of Changaspis placenta from the Cambrian of China. This type of trilobite has many thoracic segments with long pleural spines. This specimen is wonderfully articulated and exhibits great detail. The flaring genal spines are intact, and the extremely long pleural spines are beautifully displayed - even the small pygidium is present and tightly attached. The bug has good color and contrast and is beautifully centered on the natural plate of matrix. This is an outstanding example of this spiny trilobite from China.
