This is a highly collectible trilobite. It is an extremely rare, unidentified Cheirurid from the Devonian of Morocco. This is the only specimen of this type that we have ever seen. This type of trilobite has a somewhat trapezoidal cephalon with short genal spines. The pleurons extend into sharply-pointed spines, and the pygidium exhibits three pairs of long spines. This inflated specimen displays all of these features beautifully. The very striking trilobite is nicely articulated and exhibits great detail. The black bug contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. It is well showcased on the sculpted plate of limestone. This is an outstanding specimen of this unusual Cheirurid trilobite.
