Hee is a very pretty specimen of unusual Russian trilobites. On the left is a complete example of Asaphus (Neoasaphus) intermedius. This trilobite has long eye stalks prominently displayed. On the right is a very fine specimen of subasaphus platyurus. This type of Asaphid has short eyes and possesses long genal spines. Both trilobites are very 3-dimensional and nicely articulated. The caramel-colored trilobites contrast beautifully with the light-colored matrix. They are wonderfully centered on the large plate of limestone. This is a very aesthetic specimen of two different Asaphid trilobites from Russia.
