Here is a fabulous example of an unusual trilobite. This is Eoharpes sp. from the Ordovician of Morocco. It has been quite a while since we have seen a specimen of this particular trilobite. Harpid trilobites are very rare and among the most collectable trilobites in the world. This type has an extremely broad cephalic brim with many pits and corrugations. It has many thoracic segments and a tiny pygidium. This specimen is unusually prone and well articulated. The bug is very inflated and has nice, thick exoskeleton - very unusual for the Ordovician deposits of Morocco. The ancient arthropod has beautiful color and contrasts extremely well with the sculpted limestone block. This is a very aesthetic specimen of an extremely rare Eoharpes.
