Here is a beautiful trilobite. This is an unidentified Cheirurid trilobite from the Devonian of Morocco. This type of trilobite has two short, sharply pointed projections extending from the front of the cephalon. The eyes are very small and widely spaced and the genal spines are quite thin. It has long, pointed pleural spines and pygidial spines. These features are wonderfully defined on this specimen. This trilobite is 3-dimensionally preserved and nicely articulated. The gorgeous orangish-brown coloration is totally natural. It has been meticulously prepared and displays beautifully on the rounded block of limestone. This is an outstanding specimen of this unusual Cheirurid trilobite.
